Get seduced by its magic!
One of the best things about traveling is the opportunity to get to know new places that you never knew you could be amazed by. Sometimes it is enough to walk a few meters to discover that charming garden that rarely appears in social media trends, or that coffee shop that has the most beautiful view and a comfortable space to spend an afternoon with a good book.
That kind of magic is also alive on the Mexican beaches and especially in Puerto Vallarta , the Park Royal Hotels & Resorts destination of this newsletter, where just a few kilometers away you will find three iconic beaches with a relaxed vibe, perfect for water sports and, especially, surfing.
To reach this destination, we recommend renting a car upon our arrival at Puerto Vallarta airport, since Sayulita is located in Nayarit, approximately 1.5 hours from Grand Park Royal Puerto Vallarta.
Sayulita is a pleasant surprise that you will remember forever. As soon as you arrive at the main square, you will experience an authentic surfing town full of colors, music, and different cultural expressions in a party environment.
Sayulita Beach is perfect for the most intrepid surfers who love to chase the Mexican Pacific's most challenging waves, where even on calm days, you will find waves that surpass the ten-foot mark. In addition, in the surrounding areas, you will find a wide offer of surfboard rentals and lessons for all ages and levels.
Once you finish, we are sure you will want to relax and enjoy some international food, or maybe visit one of the handicraft stores, the decision is up to you, but don't take off your bathing suit because the adventure continues!
Just 800 meters from Sayulita's main beach and along the coast, a pleasant walkway leads you to a small white gazebo, perfect for taking pictures.
A few meters ahead, the scenario will change completely and you will enter a small cemetery that welcomes you with a gate embellished with typical mortuary decorations such as the "Catrina" When looking up you will find the traditional "papel picado" of the Day of the Dead, which is so typical of the Mexican culture. Once you arrive here, just follow the main road that crosses the cemetery to a small and hidden beach surrounded by plants
Contrary to Sayulita, here you won't find high waves and no restaurants or bars around, only an open sea with gentle waves perfect for families where some locals also have umbrellas and tables for rent so you can spend a pleasant afternoon on this magical beach.
After visiting Los Muertos Beach, it's time to drive 20 minutes to another nearby beach known as San Pancho where again you will find high waves and beachfront seafood restaurants.
The best thing about this destination, besides its delicious gastronomic, is its beach which, besides having perfect waves for surfing, is very uncrowded and offers the most beautiful sunsets of the destination. To end the day, walk around San Pancho and be amazed by the kindness of the locals and the small bars set with bossa nova or live jazz, we are sure you will want to come back soon to this charming place.
Once you return to Grand Park Royal Puerto Vallarta, we will be waiting for you in one of our ocean-view rooms, so you will remember that the Mexican Pacific always has something incredible to offer and we at Park Royal Hotels & Resorts, will be there to witness the best moments of your vacation with those you love the most.
To relax from your trip, you can request something from our menu through our Room Service, or even schedule a massage in the spa. The trip is all yours and we are here to spoil you as you deserve.
We are looking forward to seeing you!
