Mazatlán Cultural Festival
Entertainment 20/09/2023
Mazatlán is one of the few destinations that perfectly blends the sand and sun of its beaches with all water-related activities such as fishing, surfing, and diving. It also boasts a rich historical and cultural identity, which is evident in its historic downtown, with cobblestone streets, 19th-century buildings, parks, and gardens.
The city is divided into two parts: Old Mazatlan (Viejo Mazatlan) with markets, cafes, churches, and squares where the highlights include the Angela Peralta Theater, which opened in 1874, and the Basilica Cathedral featuring a strong Neo-Gothic accent.
The Golden Zone (Zona Dorada) was developed in the decade of the ’60s and boasts exclusive hotels, golf courses, spas, nightclubs, shops boutiques, bars, and restaurants featuring the finest cuisine. In both regions the gastronomía is exquisite, and the traditional events such as the carnival parade in February and the cultural festival from October to December, make this destination one of the most attractive beach cities in the entire country.
In 2023, the Mazatlan Cultural Festival celebrates its 30th anniversary and, as a result, will feature the participation of 1,113 artists both national and international, in its 58 events. Each of the shows will take place in Mazatlán’s most important venues and will impact nearly 80,000 live spectators, while its reach will be global thanks to its digital networks.
The Mazatlan Cultural Festival 2023 will begin on October 7th and will conclude on December 17th. Every day there will be various performances, including Broadway musical hits, Disney music, Italian and German opera, contemporary dance, classical ballet, visual arts, literature, and more.
