Gastronomy 06/01/2022
The world and the wine industry are increasingly betting on making wine consumption an integral proposal that not only includes an exquisite glass of wine but also tastings, gastronomic venues, wineries, and even wineries that offer luxury accommodations. And one destination that has stood out for many years thanks to its incredible and delicious wines is wonderful Argentina.
Traveling the wine roads in Argentina is a way to get to know the immense offer of flavors and geography that the country has to offer. The itinerary invites you to walk through the interior of each province, to discover in each of them a different proposal and a different wine. However, the route throughout the country can be quite extensive, so if you can only travel for a few days we have a more practical option.
Did you know that the province of Buenos Aires also has its wine route? Although Mendoza is the favorite province to tour wineries, visit vineyards and enjoy wine tastings, it has been more than 20 years since winemaking began to develop in different regions of the province of Buenos Aires and left tourists breathless. So, if you are a wine lover, today we bring you four of the wineries in Buenos Aires and its surroundings:
Located in Sierra de la Ventana, it currently markets seven wines. They are a line of young wines with wood; a white wine, a rosé wine, three varietal red wines, a blend, and a sparkling wine of traditional method. It is also dedicated to the cultivation of fruit trees with which it makes jams, as well as a line of moisturizing creams produced with grape seed oil and fragrance for its beverages.
Located in Cañuelas, it is a two-hectare estate where they grow syrah, merlot, sauvignon blanc, pinot noir, and Tannat red grapes, due to their adaptation to the regional climate; which help in the production of red, rosé, and sparkling wine. Here, no additives are included in the production process, and the traditional way of harvesting, crushing, and fermenting are followed.
Located in La Elena, it is a family business that in 2008 planted its first vineyard west of Tandil. Today, thanks to its growth, it planted another one to experiment with new vines, to the south, in the Don Bosco area. The varieties offered are sauvignon blanc merlot, sauvignon blanc, syrah, and Carmenere.
Located in Chapadmalal and is recognized not only in Argentina but internationally for the quality of its wines. It has received the Wine Star Awards in the category of best winery in the new world, in 2019.
