Available with two double beds or one king (shown), this is not your budget hotel room. Incredibly spacious at over 400 square feet, a private balcony overlooks the tropical gardens from the lower levels of the main hotel tower.

With 24-hour room service, fully adjustable air conditioning, Cable TV, telephone with voice mail, clock radio, minibar, coffeemaker, laptop-compatible strong box, hair dryer, marble bathroom and floors, double vanity and a secure electronic key, there is almost no need for extras, but there are plenty.

A number of world class jewelers in Cancun offer exquisitely crafted jewelry bearing Pre-Hispanic iconography and more. Authentic Vanilla

Vanilla beans, sticks and bottled vanilla extract can be found in Duty Free shops and stores all over the peninsula. One taste and you'll understand the difference in quality. Be sure when purchasing liquid vanilla that the vanilla bean is listed first on the list of ingredients and not water. Remember, airlines may limit you to traveling back with just 100 ml.

Xcaret

Xcaret is a majestic archaeological park on the Riviera Maya, just a short drive from Cancun. With acres of Underground Rivers, lagoons and pools, a Tropical Jungle Trail, a Butterfly Pavilion and a Coral Reef Aquarium, it's almost too much to take in with just one day. It should be the perfect place for kids but with plenty for adults and couples to do, it's a worthwhile trip for the adventurous of any age.

Garrafón National Park

Beautiful Garrafón National Park on Isla Mujeres' Punta Sur is known for stunning reefs and spectacular cliffs, the highest elevation in the entire Yucatan and home to an ancient Maya temple. From the cliffs are not only dazzling views of the island, but of all the Caribbean and Cancún beyond. The park is open daily from 8:30AM to 6:30PM.

Aktun-Chen Park & Caverns

Maya for ""cave with a cenote inside,"" the Aktun-Chen cave system is thought to be at least 5-million years old. Guides lead visitors on a fascinating journey through the caves to explore ancient stalactites and stalagmites ending at an underground pool famous for its striking shades of green. Captain Hook Cancún

Excellent food aboard one of two 18th century Spanish galleons that still ply the Caribbean, Captain Hook Cancun offers the best loved dinner cruise off the peninsula. Each ship takes up to 350 guests and they depart in different directions to cruise the bay area between Cancun and Isla Mujeres. Dolphinaris Cancún

Beyond swimming with dolphins, Dolphinaris is the first and only Dolphin Interactive Park to allow visitors to interact with dolphins as part of no less than eight educational and fun activities. You can move at your own pace and spend the entire day with the dolphins. Located in the hotel zone right outside of the aquatic park, it's one of Cancun's most popular attractions.
